I am a global business leader with over 25 years of experience in sales, business development, and strategic transformation across the foodservice and FMCG industries. My expertise lies in business transformation, building high-performance sales/marketing structures, go-2-market approaches and commercial strategy, with a strong passion for innovation in foodservice and consumer markets, with a proven track record of driving market expansion, revenue growth, and operational excellence in multiple markets across Asia, Europe, Middle East, Americas & Australia/New Zealand.
I have been fortunate to have lived and worked around the world. My experience included multiple relocations China during time when that country went through a revolution of Out of Home consumption with leading Foodservice companies such as Nestle and Fonterra.
Equally of value was my +10 years based out of Singapore in multiple global Foodservice roles with Fonterra where I have had the privilege to support numerous Foodservice teams build world class capability and step change their businesses models & growth ambitions. I also appreciated my time living & working in Europe in the role of Director of Business Development at Upfield Professional with team that spearheaded the redefine the global plant-based ‘Out of Home’ go-to-market strategy, whilst successfully navigating the challenges of Covid to drive record growth in an emerging food category.
Aside from spearheading step change global foodservice business strategies, distribution models, channel-led marketing & sales approaches around the world, my hands on P&L regional responsibilities in South-East/North Asia, Middle East & Australia/New Zealand in companies such as Nestle, Fonterra, George Weston Foods & Pepsi provided me with strong appreciation of the challenges in realizing opportunities Foodservice & what it takes to convert strategy theory into tangible results for Foodservice leaders & their teams. This includes the development of proven sales and customer engagement approaches, converting complex technical & ingredient sales into easy to use, highly impactful & repeatable sales/marketing tools required step change the capability and confidence of sales teams around the world.
My personal philosophy and belief in “growth through people” I believe is reflected the Actio teams background and approach to partnering. Eed Ma.
